This annual event, held on February 18-19 at the beautiful ARIA Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, honors the 4- and 5-star winners of Forbes Travel Guide’s annual hotel ratings. Chosen for excellence within their industry, Lutron and Ketra set out to create a presence that would shine even amid such a glamorous setting. As the “Official Light, Shade and Temperature Control Provider” of Forbes Travel Guide, Lutron had an impressive array of options for shaping an unforgettable experience for the event attendees.
The ‘New Roaring 20s’ was a great way to blend the historical elegance of that famous decade past with the modern elegance of Ketra’s lighting — which is setting the standard for the future of luxury lighting technology and design and how it transforms hotels, restaurants and spas which Forbes Travel Guide is the global industry leader.
Visitors were transported back in time — and forward in technology — as they entered the jazz-era speakeasy. A draped roof wrapped guests in a feeling of intimate exclusivity, while vintage furniture and a stunning art deco peacock backdrop reflected the elegance of that famous decade. A series of themed Ketra lighting scenes intensified the luxe vibe of the space, painting the stunning design details with light. Lutron Pico controls whimsically engraved with descriptions such as “Jazz Club”, Speakeasy” and, in the slang of the day, “Bees Knees”, and “Cat’s Meow” controlled the lighting. As they experienced the transformative power of Ketra’s powerful lighting technology, guests could take photos or GIFs of themselves in each of the various scenes. With a monitor reflecting all the action inside the Speakeasy to the crowd on the showroom floor, it’s no wonder there was a line to get inside!
