Background
Considered the ‘soul food’ of Japan, ramen is a mainstay of Japanese culture and quickly becoming a favorite dish of many American diners. Restaurateurs Tatsu Aikawa and Takuya Matsumoto sought out a space that would evoke the comforting, traditional vibe of ramen without sacrificing the beauty of a modern aesthetic. With room for only 72 diners, it was vital to keep the space uncluttered and open, while still giving the restaurant a cozy feel. This need for a versatile, dynamic space made Ketra the ideal choice for their lighting system.
