Depending on the network requirements for the installation, you may want to perform some of these optional functions.
- Toggling API Authentication: Strongly recommended for any installation created without Internet access
- Setting Static IP Addresses for Hubs: Not necessary for most applications, but may be required by IT administrators in commercial spaces
- Setting Custom DNS Addresses for Hubs: Not necessary for most applications, but may be required by IT administrators in commercial spaces
- Adding Additional Hubs: Typically used if you realize you haven’t added all of the hubs in the space
- Changing a Hub’s Channel: Used to troubleshoot signal interference caused by two adjacent KNets broadcasting at the same radio frequency
