Managing Lighting Power-Restore States

Each Ketra light has a restore state setting. A state is any configuration for color and intensity (e.g., 3000K at 100% intensity), and a restore state is the state that lights come on to when power-cycled. In residential and hospitality applications, we recommend modifying a small number of lights’ restore states per the guidelines in this section.

What counts as a power cycle? A power cycle is anything that reboots a Ketra light’s onboard computer. This includes Ketra firmware updates and events that cut power to the circuit for more than 2 seconds. It does NOT include Off commands from keypads or contact-closure inputs, as these do not cut power to the lights’ circuit.

The restore state can be a color and intensity chosen in Design Studio, or it can be whatever the light’s most recent state was prior to being power-cycled.

Note: In Ketra Only installations, the default restore state is 3000K, 100% intensity. To change this default restore state, see Modifying the Default Restore State.
