For a document that specifically covers integration between Ketra products and the HomeWorks QS system, we recommend referring to Lutron’s app note #696, Integrating Ketra products into HomeWorks QS systems:
- Web link (Requires Internet access)
- Appendix B
The Design Studio workflow for Ketra with Homeworks QS installations varies depending on whether you are programming on-site or off-site.
Note: We recommend saving progress regularly. If your computer has an Internet connection, the best way to save progress is to sync by closing out of the installation. If there is no Internet, the best way is to click Publish and Save in the top-right. For more information, see Saving Your Progress.
If programming entirely on-site:
2. Enable API Authentication on N4 Hubs (only if commissioning without Internet access)
3. Build Groups
4. Add Devices
5. As needed:
- Divide Linear Runs into Groups
- Manage Power-On Lighting States
- Build Scenes
- Build Shows
- Integrate Third-Party Lighting via DMX Output
6. Publish Configurations (see Publishing: Saving Configurations to Devices)
7. Return to Homeworks QS, import the Design Studio installation, and continue commissioning
If programming partially off-site:
Note: If creating an installation off-site, skip the N4 provisioning steps.
2. Build Groups
3. As needed:
4. Travel to site
5. Add N4 Hubs (see Adding Additional Hubs)
6. Enable API Authentication on N4 Hubs (only if commissioning without Internet access)
7. Add Devices
8. As needed:
- Divide Linear Runs into Groups
- Manage Power-On Lighting States
- Integrate Third-Party Lighting via DMX Output (see DMX Output)
9. Publish Configurations (see Publishing: Saving Configurations to Devices)
10. Return to Homeworks QS, import the Design Studio installation, and continue commissioning
