Shows enable you to link changes in your lighting to certain times of day. A show consists of at least one time trigger, i.e., a trigger set to occur at a given time whenever the show is active.
Example applications:
- Circadian lighting that smoothly brightens and dims over the course of the day to mimic sunlight (see Creating a Natural Show, or use Ketra’s curated Natural show)
- Automating opening and closing times by turning lights on at 9 AM and off at 11 PM (see Automated Open/Close Time)
- Meeting Title 24’s Auto-Off Timeclock requirement (see Auto- Off Timeclock)
- A looping holiday show that turns a group of lights red for one minute, then green for 1 minute (see Looping Triggers)
You can create and configure shows on the Shows tab of Device Control. You can then implement your shows in several ways:
- Set them to run automatically: Shows can run automatically 365 days a year, or only on certain days of the week, or only within a certain date range.
- Assign them to Ketra keypad buttons or contact-closure inputs: In a Ketra Only installation, shows can be linked to inputs in the installation. A user could press a keypad button to activate the show, or an external device could play the show via a contact-closure integration with an N3 Satellite.
- Use them in Lutron’s HomeWorks QS software: After building shows in Design Studio, you will be able to import the installation to HomeWorks QS and access the shows from there.
