Building Scenes
As discussed in Key Concepts > Scenes, a scene is a set of lighting configurations that applies to an installation’s groups. These configurations may include color, intensity, and other parameters.
Scenes may be assigned to several kinds of triggers, including keypad buttons, contact closure inputs, and time triggers in shows. Since there are multiple potential uses for scenes, they can be built on four out of the five tabs of Device Control. As a general rule, however, we recommend building them on the Scenes tab.

Note: Scenes that you build on the Shows or Integration tab will not be accessible from other locations. For example, if you build a scene on the Shows tab for a 5:00 PM trigger, you cannot then assign that scene to a keypad button. However, if you build the scene on the Scenes tab or Keypads tab, you will be able to use it elsewhere in the installation.
