Adding devices is a necessary step in Design Studio and follows a simple workflow. For each KNet, you will first search for nearby devices on the public network, then provision (add) them to groups. In a Ketra Only installation, you can also add virtual keypads to use in the Ketra mobile app.
To search for and add devices to groups, use the top-right panel of the Organization tab.
Note: If you are using a Ketra Only installation, you can provision Ketra X2 Keypads or virtual keypads. When you provision these keypads, Design Studio automatically assigns content based on the button labels. For example, a button labeled “Media” would receive the default scene Media. To change what scenes are assigned to each button label, we recommend setting default button content before you provision keypads. For example, if you want any button labeled “Media” to receive a custom scene called My Scene, you could set “media” as My Scene’s default button name, then provision your keypads. For instructions on setting default button names, see Setting Default Button Names for Scenes.
