If remote access is enabled for an installation, you (and other shared Design Studio users) can access the installation file without being on the N4s’ LAN. This enables you to make changes off-site, perform remote firmware updates, and streamline troubleshooting by Lutron and Ketra tech support when needed.
Note: For security, remote access can only be enabled by an on-site computer connected to the same network as the N4s.
Note: Accessing the N4s’ LAN remotely requires that the computer and the N4s’ network have Internet access.
Only users who have permission to open the installation file—i.e., users with whom the installation’s creator has shared the install—can access the installation remotely. As a safety measure, someone controlling an installation remotely cannot deprovision or replace N4 Hubs, or delete the installation.
